Quests in ACT ONE

Act One: Quests


Each act has six quests, not all of which must be completed to advance to the next act. Some, such as Charsi's quest, are random, while others, such as Kashya's two quests, are mandatory and always appear. These quests will encompass such locations as caves, graveyards, cairn stones, barracks, jail, crypts, and a cathedral in the monastery.


The Den of Evil

Den of Evil: This quest will be given to you by Akara. She simply asks that you enter the den and clear it of all monsters. The den is randomly generated and placed in the wilderness surrounding the camp. The den is populated by various low-level creatures, such as skeletons, zombies, and some yeti.

Slay BloodRaven: This quest is given to you by Kashya. BloodRaven is a former rogue who has been corrupted by Andariel's evil and is now resurrecting dead rogues as zombies. She resides in the woods, in the rogue's graveyard, and is surrounded by corrupt rogues and zombies. Defeating her allows you to hire rogue NPCs from Kashya.


The beginnings of the Cain quest.

Rescue Cain: This quest is offered by Akara, who asks you to return to Tristram to find an old Horadrim sage named Deckard Cain. Cain was also in Diablo and awaits rescue in the old town. Tristram will be completely rebuilt with new graphics, but it will still look recognizable and familiar. The big difference is that it is completely razed and is now infested with evil creatures, not friendly NPCs. Tristram will be a completely self-contained quest area and won't be a full act.

Help Charsi: Charsi is the blacksmith in town, and she might ask you to retrieve an item for her from the monastery. Blizzard North doesn't want to release specifics about the item but says it is unique and is an item that will help Charsi in her smithing. Obviously, you would benefit by perhaps acquiring some better items from her.

Forgotten Tower: This quest is not given to you by anyone in town. Rather, you'll happen upon a quest location in the wilderness and then be able to root out some area of evil for an artifact. Think of it as an Arkaine's Valor quest updated for Diablo II.

Defeat Andariel: The final quest of act one, given to you by Cain, is to destroy Andariel, who resides in the very deepest parts of the monastery. She is a powerful and towering figure of evil, and she not only holds the rogues in her thrall, but also blocks passage to the east. Once you kill her, Warriv will be able to take you aboard his caravan to act two and the city of Lut Gholein.
